Rhema Institute for Development
Rhema works to serve the poor, vulnerable and marginalised communities internationally. The organisation was founded in 2005 and is based in the central region of Malawi. Their vision is to work towards a healthy and morally upright community that is spiritually and socio – economically empowered, transformed and self- sustaining in all aspects of life including food security, health, environment and education.
To implement their community based projects Rhema uses a number of approaches including:
- Teamwork and community based participatory methodologies
- Collaboration/networking
- Rural communities’ empowerment and integrated community development approaches
By adopting this integrated approach Rhema addresses issues, challenges and opportunities that are related to livelihood improvement of poor, vulnerable and marginalized communities internationally.
