Office (Super)Assistant – Hope for a Child

Hope for a Child is on a mission to enable every child in Malawi to have access to enough good food, clean water and education to thrive.

We are a small team who want to change the world for children. We raise funds in Guernsey to spend on life-changing projects in Malawi. We are looking for a mega positive and hope-filled person to help us in our office with book keeping and general admin.

We are looking for a team member who:

Has a ‘no challenge is too great – anything is possible!’ attitude
Is passionate about enabling others to thrive
Has a tidy bedroom
Gets a buzz out of fiddling with spreadsheets
Loves a good list

Book keeping experience is desirable but not essential. Training provided.
14 hours per week. Salary according to qualifications and experience.

Internship Positions Available

Are you finishing school or university and not exactly sure what to do next? Or maybe you’re just keen for some experience and a place to learn new skills.

If so, an internship at Hope for a Child could be just what you’re after.

Each year we take on up to 3 interns, who join a our busy, friendly team to get involved in a whole range of areas, such as:

  • Customer Service
  • Office Administration
  • Book Keeping
  • Sales
  • PR & Marketing
  • Charity Fundraising
  • International Development

Our interns are expected to have a go at a broad range of tasks, but we also help them to identify their strengths and passions and help them focus on those areas.

Our Promise

We expect interns to be positive and conscientious, and have an ‘anything is possible!’ attitude. In return for your hard work and commitment, we promise to provide an empowering and nurturing working environment and help you discover and develop your skills.

Our internships are unpaid positions. They are for a duration of 9-12 months. Hours are negotiable, however a commitment of at least 1 day a week is required.

Interns may be given the opportunity to join one of our team trips to our project sites in Malawi.
