Hope for a Child is dedicated to seeing children rise from poverty in the poorest areas of the world.
How?
We empower a mother to earn. She develops a business, which leads to sustainable family income.
Why empower women?
Experience has shown that when women bring in an income, they typically spend it on improving nutrition, health and education of their own children and other children in their extended family groups. This creates a multiple effect that can lift entire communities out of poverty.
Over the next 10 years Hope for a Child plans to enable basic financial services for 1 million of the poorest people in Africa.
